As I asked our secretary to look for a location for the next Amsterdam Java Meetup I scheduled for next June 30th, she immediately came back to me to ask if I had noticed the quarter finals of the World Championships are scheduled for that day. If the Dutch team makes it to the quarter finals (which we’re of course pretty confident in), they have to play at either 5pm or at 9pm.

Even worse; later on I found out that I already had an appointment with my two brothers and some friends of mine to spend a weekend with two sailing boats to sail from Muiden to IJmuiden.

So I decided that the 30th probably isn’t the best time ot schedule the third installment of the Java Meetup.
